Antaeus

Hey Hooo.. Have you watch 'The Great Debaters'? This movie is directed by Denzel Washington and produced by Oprah Winfrey's Harpo Productions based on an article written by Tony Scherman about Wiley College Debate Team..

Of course I'm not going to review the movie here because you can buy and watch it yourself, it's a great movie with some religious spice in it..

There's something I want to share about this movie with you who read my blog.. Something that maybe can encourage us to stand up again from some of our 'down' or maybe for us who 'Fly' so high and get throw back to earth, hard..

Denzel mention about Antaeus in the movie.. Have you heard Antaeus? Antaeus is one of Greek Mythology history like Hercules. He was the son of Poseidon (Water) and Gaia (Earth). He was a gigantic wrestler who is extremely strong as long as he remained contact in the ground because his mother is Goddess of the Earth, that's why he possessed this power. No one can defeat him because if someone throw him back to earth, he just getting stronger. Understand?

Defeat make him stronger, stronger and stronger.

I know it is only a myth but take this point. Shit (sorry I have to use this word) happens in our life but don't let that make us weak. There's a saying 'If it doesn't kill you, it will only make you stronger' and it's true, so what we have to do when something gone bad is just hang on and pray to our Heavenly Father to give us the power to stand through this.

Everyone always have something bad happen in their life. Even Antaeus who is gigantic and extremely strong is weak when he is not on the ground, that's why Hercules beat him with a bearhug so he doesn't touch the ground. And that sounds very human to me because he still have weakness. A God should be perfect in every aspect, now that sounds very Jesus to me.

Let me tell you one thing you may already know, satan knows our weakness and there's no way we can win our way in debating with him no matter how good we are because he already practice this for thousands of years. he will try crush us down till we got nothing left and blame everything on Jesus.

satan want us to say something like:
"Where are you God?"

"Can't you see me suffering?"

"There's no God!"

"Why me!!!???"

"God already forsaken us"

This is exactly what satan want, for us to forget Him, for us to hate Jesus, for us to leave His path. Our biggest enemy is ourself and that's true, because we are the one who create our own weakness, we are the source of our own weaknesses, and guess what? satan used it to make us suffer and the sins that we do separate us from Jesus.

In life, we always made mistakes, some is the mistakes we have to carry the rest of our life. The choice is yours to make, rather you want to give up and let your life ruled by the memory of the past or stand up, face it and get stronger by the day to become a person that Jesus can use to bring others who have a problem like you to Him.. Your Choice, Make it NOW!!!
